Customer reviews echo the sentiment of this inviting atmosphere, with one patron, Kelsi, describing it as "very casual and cozy yet spacious," making it an ideal place to enjoy a quiet moment or catch up on work while sipping on an impeccable coffee. Dive into their renowned all-you-can-eat bread bar, featuring an array of fresh, delicious loaves that will have your taste buds dancing with joy. As Julie Taeko passionately shares in her review, this café not only provides a wholesome meal but does so at an incredible value—where for just 900 yen, you can enjoy a main lunch set complete with a drink and unlimited fresh bread. It’s an offer that feels almost too good to be true!

For those who cherish sweet indulgences, Francine Lianne Emralino highlights the café’s "wide selection of drinks and cakes" that carry a delightful homemade feel. Each bite and sip brings you closer to experiencing the love and care that the owner pours into every dish—an aspect that makes Boogaloo a true gem in the café landscape.

If you’re in the mood for something hearty, Watson Chung's experience with the café mocha and French toast is sure to tempt you into trying them yourself. Picture this: a warm plate of French toast, perfectly golden, with a dusting of powdered sugar, paired with an aromatic café mocha that warms you from the inside out.

To top off your visit, don't miss out on the pasta, which Elena San Martini raves about, declaring its quality as commendable enough for even Italian standards. The unique bread selections, particularly the one with candied orange, are a sweet treat that feels as festive as enjoying panettone during the holidays.

Boogaloo Cafe Hyakumanben goes a step further with its customer service; the owner is known to accommodate special dietary needs with a genuine smile, showcasing a level of care rarely found in today's fast-paced dining world. Just a heads-up, be sure to bring cash, as they currently do not accept credit cards—a quirk mentioned by frequenting patrons that won’t deter you from this splendid locale.

Very casual and cozy yet spacious cafe. Lovely atmosphere for studying, reading or going with friends. Only had a coffee but you can also get food (unlimited bread) and alcoholic drinks.

Cozy, quiet, tasty food. Great for hangout, working on your project, or just reading a book. Tried their cafe mocha and French toast. Great.

Love Love Love this place! The owner or head chef is super nice and always modifies the dishes to make it have less dressing or without shrimp, as I’m allergic to that. Plus, they have a wonderful, 食べ放題 or all you can eat bread bar that is super fresh and delicious. With your order of a main lunch set, you get a drink, plus free bread for only 900 yen! What a deal! I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a delicious meal right next to Kyoto University!

cozy and quiet. Pasta is very good (and I'm italian) and so are the cold beverages and the breads. The one with candied orange is awesome, like having panettone off season. No credit card, so bring cash. We ran into an embarassing misunderstanding for that but they were really nice.

After a week of stay in Kyoto with my baby, I finally find a place to relax. Almost every restaurant in Kyoto is not child friendly, staffs show terrible attitude when you go with your baby. Here, in the sakura season, everyone chat loudly during lunch time, children play around, cry, yell and scream. Food here is good enough, especially their homemade bread. Recommend to families with their little babies.
